What is PACE?
Participants are more likely to know the PACE system as the ‘my NDIS‘ portal. Like many of the participants we support at Footsteps, you may already have access to this new system. If you are new to the system or have recently moved over to a PACE plan, you will need to endorse your registered NDIS provider so that they can connect with your plan on the PACE system.
NDIS PACE is the new portal, implemented by the NDIA, for providers and NDIS participants. The national implementation of PACE began in October 2023 and is expected to take up to 18 months to complete.
How do I ‘endorse my registered NDIS provider’?
If you work with a registered NDIS provider like Footsteps, you will need to contact the NDIS and tell them which provider you work with. This is known as endorsing your provider.
Below is a script, pre-filled with the necessary details about Footsteps Community Services*, to help with your call. We also provide some further tips below to guide you when speaking to the NDIA. We recommend reading these beforehand.
Hello,
My name is [Your Name]. I am a [participant / plan nominee] in the NDIS and my NDIS number is [Your NDIS number].
My NDIS plan is on the new PACE system. I am contacting you to endorse my registered NDIS provider. Could you please endorse Footsteps Community Services as my Registered NDIS provider for my NDIS plan? (If asked, Footsteps Community Services’ provider registration number is 4050065204).
I want to endorse Footsteps Community Services from the date my plan started, which is [Your NDIS plan start date].
Please can you confirm this has been completed and that Footsteps Community Services will be able to begin services for me straight away? (They should be able to tell you “yes.”)
You can contact the NDIS/NDIA on 1800 800 110. You can also contact our team for support by calling 0467 374 123, or by emailing us at admin@footstepscs.com.au, and a member of our friendly team will be happy to help.
*If you are calling to endorse a different provider, you will need to replace the details for Footsteps Community Services with the name and registration number of your provider.
Some helpful tips to guide you
-
- Let the person on the phone know that your NDIS plan is on the new PACE system.
-
- Ask them to confirm that Footsteps Community Services is being endorsed by telling them the provider number (4050065204).
-
- Ensure to begin the endorsement from your plan’s start date. This makes sure all invoices that fall within your plan dates can be processed.
-
- Stay on the phone until they have told you the endorsement is finalised. It should be completed in one phone call.
