What to Expect from the SSP Home Support Program 

The program begins with you completing background information forms to prepare for your consultation.

On Purchase

You’ll receive a detailed intake form and questionnaire via email to help us get to know your background and needs and a link we be sent to you to enable you to download the UNYTE app to your chosen phone or tablet.

Initial Consultation and Understanding the Nervous System

We’ll review the forms together, get to know you and your environment. We will also discuss potential additional assessments. Finally, we will set personalised goals to track throughout the SSP process. We will introduce you to the Polyvagal Theory and the autonomic nervous system. You’ll learn how to identify stress responses (fight, flight, freeze), recognise personal triggers, and apply co-regulation strategies to support you or your family member. We’ll also go through how to implement SSP effectively at home and in your life.

Your 12-Month Listening Subscription will be unlocked offering a consistent, nurturing space to explore your inner world, build resilience, and reconnect with balance. Guided by three pathways — Connect, Core, and Balance — this journey supports emotional awareness, regulation, and growth at your own pace.

We focus on creating safety, trust, and genuine presence. Connect Listening helps you ground and feel at ease, setting the foundation for deeper work.

This 5 hours of music can be listened to in any order.

Core Listening

This is where the deeper awareness unfolds. Here, the focus turns to your inner landscape: the emotions, patterns, and unspoken needs beneath your words. Through this process, you’ll gain insight into what drives you, what you need, and what’s ready to shift.

It is important to listen in order until the program is complete.

Balance Listening

The final pathway supports emotional balance, nervous system regulation, and alignment between mind, body, and heart. It’s about finding steadiness and flow — feeling centred even when life feels busy or uncertain.

This pathway can be repeated and listened to in any order.

Silver and Gold Users

Communication is essential to tailor the program and your sessions to your needs. We’ll stay in touch via email to adjust session timing and ensure the listening plan remains effective.

How SSP Sessions Work

Over the course of the program, you will listen to SSP-filtered music using headphones through a mobile app. Listening sessions are short and can be paired with relaxing, playful, and co-regulated activities.

While we suggest the program is initially done in consecutive days, we recommend a “less is more” approach. This means you listen closely to your responses because fatigue or emotional shifts can indicate the need for breaks. Note that creating a safe, calm environment is key to SSP’s effectiveness.

The SSP strengthens your neural network responsible for feeling safe and connected. Central to this is the vagus nerve, which regulates emotional responses, internal organ functions (like digestion and heart rate), and communication between brain and body.

When functioning well, the vagus nerve supports calmness, focus, and resilience. When dysregulated, people may experience intense emotions, misread social cues, or become overwhelmed, with challenges often amplified by recent stressors such as the pandemic or digital media.

By improving vagal tone, the SSP supports physical and emotional wellbeing, including clearer thinking, better immunity, and relief from symptoms like brain fog and digestive discomfort often linked with anxiety.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Definitions

Subscription Payment: The payment amount for the usage of the Processed Music as published by FCS on its website and/or online store and varied from time to time. 

User: The individual attending the program. 

Force Majeure: A situation of fire, flood, explosions, earthquake, elements of nature or acts of God, catastrophic weather conditions, diseases, epidemics, acts of war, terrorism, riots, civil disorders, rebellions or revolutions, labor disputes, lockouts, strikes or other industrial action (solely to the extent such labor disputes, lockouts, strikes or other industrial action occur in Australia).

Ownership 

The app is exclusively owned by Unyte-iLs and provided under license by Footsteps Community Services (FCS). 

License Terms

The Program is rented and licensed to Users for one treatment protocol period. This period is typically 10 days and up to one month. Each Term commences on the Effective Date (the “Term”). The User is obligated to pay the entire amount due under the Term.     

Change to the License Terms

A User may change their designated Term by contacting FCS and requesting to change to a longer Term, with the understanding that the Rental Payment will change and that further payments might be needed to continue accessing the program.  

Payments

The Subscription Payment shall be subject to adjustment by FCS in its exclusive discretion at any time. FCS might collect GST for Australian rentals, which would be included in the price.    

The User agrees to pay FCS via the online webstore or via direct invoice on demand in advance for the Rental Payment.   

Termination

This Agreement shall terminate upon completion of the clinical program.    

Upon termination, the User access to the app will be terminated.    

Cancellation prior to completion of the Term. If User cancels prior to consultation or using the app a refund might be issued with consideration for bank charges and services already provided. Once the app has been accessed or an online consultation has occurred no monies will be refunded.  

Warranties and Repairs

FCS makes no warranty or guarantees of any kind regarding the licensed Program, including therapeutic results.  

Indemnification

The User indemnifies and holds FCS harmless for all injuries or damage resulting from use of Program and for all consequential and special damages for any claimed breach of warranty.  

Legal Fees

The User shall pay all reasonable legal and other fees, the expenses and costs incurred by FCS in protection of its rights under this Agreement and for any action taken by FCS to collect any amounts due FCS under this Agreement.  

GOVERNING LAW. This Agreement shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland, without regards to any conflicts of law principles to the contrary.  

Amendments

FCS reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this Agreement upon reasonable notice to PSL and User. 

Compliance with Laws

Each party will comply with all applicable laws and will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the other Party from and against any violation of such applicable laws by such party or any of its agents, officers, directors, employees or affiliates.  

FORCE MAJEURE. In the case of Force Majeure, the parties will use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver the service. 

Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions of this Agreement will continue in full force and effect.
